The Tick Tock Companion is an EP by Joy Electric. It was released exclusively through the band's website shortly after the release of The Tick Tock Treasury.
On this CD, bandleader Ronnie Martin is joined by synthesists Eric Melzer and Mike Perez. Unlike the electro-pop Joy Electric is known for, "The Tick Tock Companion" is completely experimental drawing upon musical influences such as Morton Subotnick and Karlheinz Stockhausen with a hint of early Tangerine Dream. The CD contains no vocals and was recorded entirely in one take without overdubs.
The CD is presently sold out on Joy Electric's website.
