The Ventures In Space is an album by the instrumental group The Ventures. It is notable for pioneering the space surf variant of surf rock.[citation needed] It was released in 1964 on the Dolton label, and reissued in the late '70s by Pickwick Records (with a new cover depicting an astronaut performing a spacewalk).[1]
