Chrysozephyrus birupa, the fawn hairstreak,^[1]^[2] is a small butterfly found in India that belongs to the lycaenids or blues family.

Taxonomy[edit]

The butterfly was previously classified as Thecla birupa Moore.^[3]

The butterfly occurs in north west India from Simla to Kumaon,^[1]^[3] and in Nepal.^[4]
