Thelxiope is a genus of Cambrian and Ordovician arthropod. Four species are known, the type species T. palaeothalassia is known from the Burgess Shale,^[1] T. spinosa, and T. holmani from the Wheeler Shale, and an indeterminate species from the Floian Fezouata Formation in Morocco. It is a member of Mollisoniida, alongside close relative Mollisonia, Corcorania and Urokodia, the group are suggested to be stem-chelicerates.^[2]
