Thomas Worthington High School ("TWHS") is located in Worthington, Ohio, TWHS has historically been among the top performing high schools in Ohio in terms of academics. The school was formerly named Worthington High School until the 1991 opening of Worthington Kilbourne High School
Thomas Worthington is the largest school in the Worthington City School District. The Thomas Worthington mascot is the cardinal, and the school colors are red and blue. There are approximately 1700 students. 2006-2007 principal Dr. Richard Littell stepped down from his position Tuesday, July 10, 2007 for a position teaching English at the nearby Worthington Kilbourne High School. Jim Gaskill has filled the position of principal since the 2007-2008 school year.[2]
Students from Thomas Worthington primarily come from Kilbourne and Worthingway and Phoenix Middle Schools. They also come from Phoenix Middle School, the alternative school, if they would otherwise have gone to Kilbourne or Worthingway.
