Tired of Sex
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Tired of Sex" is a song by the American rock band Weezer; it is the opening track of their second album, Pinkerton. It is one of the most abrasive songs in Weezer's catalog. The song is known for its distorted guitars and being one of the few songs in which frontman Rivers Cuomo uses screamed vocals. The song was originally written for Songs from the Black Hole, along with "Getchoo", "No Other One," and "Why Bother?"[1] In the lyrics, Cuomo rants about groupie sex encounters, reciting his list of partners as he wonders why true love eludes him.[2]
The song has been played live by Canadian duo Tegan and Sara, with Matt Sharp, Weezer's original bassist.
