The presence of Togolese people in Italy dates back to the 1980s.

Numbers[edit]

In 2006, there were 2,695 legal residents from Togo residing in Italy, rising to 4,422 by 2010. The three cities with the largest number of Togolese people are Rome, Milan and Lodi.[1]
