Tongaland

Tongaland is a region in the north-east of Zululand. It shares its northern border with Mozambique. Its western border is marked by the Lebombo Mountains, and the Indian Ocean is its eastern border.

The usually flat region feeds the Phongolo and Mkhuze River. The bird routes and coral reefs off the coast are tourist attractions.

On 11 June 1895, Tongalang was annexed by Great Britain.
