Anthony Arthur Barber, known as Tony, was born in England. He arrived in Australia in 1963.
He was a member of the band Billy Thorpe & the Aztecs in the 1960s. He wrote several children's books in the 1980s under the name A. A. Barber including The Puggle Tales. He also started and operated The Lost Forests stores.[1] He appeared on the children's television show The Music Shop as Tony the Toymaker.[2]
