"Toothpaste Kisses" is the name of a track from The Maccabees' album Colour It In. Released on January 7, 2008, it is the fourth track released as a single from the album and their sixth single released overall. The Maccabees' official website features a plea for a couple who have been married for forty years or more and have kept many of their photographs to star in the music video for "Toothpaste Kisses".[1] On the 28 of August, the single appeared on Steve Lamacq's BBC6 Music track listing. .[2] The track was played September 12 on Jo Whiley's BBC Radio 1 show.[3]
The song featured in the advertisement for the Samsung SGH-G800 and also featured in the film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

There are two music videos that were released. The first is a video set in a bar. A woman enters and kisses a man which then leads to a continuous kissing session switching between partners around the bar before the original man leaves with another partner. The second video features a couple's life displayed in numerous pictures from different stages in their lives including their marriage, having children and growing old together.
