[edit] Background and recording
Günther's version is sung in English with a heavy German accent. The song is a parody of Eurodance genres, especially those from the German 1980s.[3]
The song has gained widespread popularity on YouTube. Examples of the most popular fan-made videos include American servicemen in Iraq dancing to the song, YouTube-users in front of their computers lip-synching, and various edited parodies.[citation needed]
[edit] Composition and lyrics
The song's popularity is largely due to its euphemistic chorus:[citation needed]
"Ooohh, you touch my tra la la... Mmmmm, My ding ding dong."
