Transrail Freight Ltd. was a trainload railfreight operator based in South West England, Wales, North West England and Scotland. It was formed in 1994 prior to the privatisation of British Rail.

Locomotives operated included classes 08, 31, 37, 47, 56 and 60.

The company livery was based on the previous Trainload Freight two-tone grey livery, with the addition of a blue and red "T" logo and Trans-Rail branding.

[edit] Purchase by EWS

Transrail, Loadhaul and Mainline Freight were purchased by a consortium led by Wisconsin Central in 1996 and amalgamated to form EWS, later renamed DB Schenker Rail (UK).
