Transbotics Corporation is a privately held corporation specializing in automated guided vehicle system (AGV) design and system implementation. Transbotics Corporation is a prominent North American automation solutions integrator and manufacturer that specializes in the design, development, support and installation of automated guided vehicle system solutions. Transbotics’ comprehensive product and service offerings include automated guided vehicles, automated guided carts, conveyors, automatic truck loading systems, integration software, engineering services, training & maintenance, motors, scanners, encoders, battery solutions as well as spare parts and a 24-hour emergency support line.[1]

Transbotics was founded in 1982 as the North American affiliate of Netzler & Dahlgren Co. AB, now Danaher Corporation, a Swedish company, to acquire or license Netzler & Dahlgren control technologies and products for automated guided vehicles (“AGVs”) and to enhance, modify, and otherwise adapt them for use by customers in North America. On March 28, 1990, the Company successfully completed its initial public offering. On November 30, 2000, the Company’s license agreement with Netzler & Dahlgren was modified to allow the Company to pursue end user AGV business worldwide on a nonexclusive basis. In 2001, the Company started doing business under the name Transbotics Corporation and officially changed its corporate name from NDC Automation, Inc. through charter amendment in 2002. Netzler & Dahlgren, meanwhile, became Danaher Motion Systems, and it continues to supply proprietary control technology and products to Transbotics Corporation.

The company has, throughout its 30-year history, remained focused on the automated guided vehicle industry.

Transbotics offers a full line of automated guided vehicles and is known for its ability to custom design to any need.

The Company also offers automated guided carts (AGCs) under the name ProKarts(TM). The AGC product line offers lower cost solutions for material handling using tape guidance which is ideal for assembly lines situations where complex routing is not required. Some the world's largest and most successful automotive companies turn to Automotion/ProKarts AGC's for assembly line equipment.
