Treforest Estate railway station is a small railway station built to serve the workers of Treforest Industrial Estate. It is located on the Merthyr Line and the Rhondda Line, 14 km (8.7 mi) north west of Cardiff Central.
Passenger services are provided by Arriva Trains Wales. Not all trains stop here. Typically of the six services passing through each hour in each direction only two of these stop at the station. The station is based around a central island platform which is accessible from a subway.
It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1942.[1]

Mondays to Saturdays there is a half-hourly service southbound to Cardiff Central with some trains continuing beyond Cardiff and northbound to Pontypridd and to Merthyr Tydfil. There is no Sunday Service.
