Trips for Kids Metro DC is a children's organization that highlights the importance of physical activity and good nature to children. They use mountain bike trips to promote healthy lifestyles, environmental education and provide mentoring from their trained volunteers. Amongst its recognition, TFK Metro DC received an EPA Children's Environmental Health Recognition award.[citation needed]
