Tsukui District, Kanagawa

Tsukui District (津久井郡 Tsukui-gun) was formerly a district located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was abolished on March 11, 2007 through merger into the neighboring city of Sagamihara.
As of July 1, 2004, the district had an estimated population of 73,718. The total area was 238.44 km². (This data includes both the former towns of Sagamiko and Tsukui)

Prior to its abolition, Tsukui District had two towns:

- On March 20, 2006 the towns of Sagamiko and Tsukui were merged into Sagamihara.
- On March 11, 2007 Fujino merged into Sagamihara.

- On February 19, 2006, the current mayor of Shiroyama was recalled for denying to join Sagamiko, Tsukui, and Fujino (scheduled to be merged with Sagamihara in the future) to merged into Sagamihara. Tsukui District failed to dissolve as a result of this recall election.
- The official dissolved date of this district was March 11, 2007, when Shiroyama and Fujino merged into Sagamihara.
