Tufted Hair-grass or Tussock grass (Deschampsia cespitosa or Deschampsia caespitosa[1]) is a wild plant from the grass family (Poaceae).[2] Distribution of this grass species is widespread including the eastern and western extermes of North America, parts of South America and Eurasia. Typical native grass associates in the far western North American coastal prairies are Festuca idahoensis, Festuca idahoensis and Nassella pulchra
