Tung Thanh Tran

Tung Thanh Tran (also known as Tom Tran) is an American actor of Vietnamese descent. He is best known for his supporting role of Tuan in the 1987 film Good Morning, Vietnam, starring Robin Williams and Forest Whitaker.

Tran was going to school and working part-time as a janitor at Lane Technical College Prep High School ("Lane Tech"), when he was discovered by Touchstone Pictures for the part.[1]

In Good Morning Vietnam, he played Tuan, a member of the Viet Cong who becomes best friends with Robin Williams' character, Adrian Cronauer. He is also in Chicago PD, playing as the character Hu, who was killed and found by Officer Sean Roman and Kim Burgess.
