Tweakbench was founded in 2002 by Aaron Rutledge and is based in New York City, New York. The company focuses on development of freeware music software for hobbyists and professionals.
Tweakbench has gained popularity since its founding, due to its focus on unique sounds and effect styles, often aimed at IDM, Electro, and Chiptune style musicians. Tweakbench software is free for any user of a Windows VST host.
