Twee Riviere (accepted spelling) is a town in Cacadu District Municipality in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.

The town is a few kilometres east-south-east of Joubertina. Afrikaans for ‘two rivers’, it takes its name from two rivers which rise in the Tsitsikamma Mountains to the south and flow through it.[2]

The village of Twee Riviere is one of the earliest communities in the Langkloof, the original farm having been surveyed and registered under that name already in 1765. The close, valley geography soon gave rise to a notable concentration of dwellings and households, which in time assumed the beginnings of a village.

Around one hundred and twelve families reside in this historic village
