The UAB Blazers football teams of 1991-1992 represented the first two seasons the University of Alabama at Birmingham fielded football squads. Competing as a Division III Independent for both years, the team was led by head coach Jim Hilyer. After posting an 11-6-2 record over the two seasons, the Blazers would make the move up to Division I-AA for the 1993 season.[1]
