[edit] Career
Uee was first slated to debut with a girl group called "Five Girls" ("Oh So Nyuh" in Korean) which included current Wonder Girls member Yubin, current Secret member and leader Hyosung, former T-ara member and current actress Yang Jiwon, and current solo artist G.NA, but the group disbanded right before their scheduled debut in 2007 due to its entertainment company's (Good Entertainment, which included the group Shinhwa) financial troubles.
However, after brief hiatus, she reappeared in the TV as a guest in Introducing A Star's Friend as Wonder Girl's Yubin's friend. Because "Five Girls" was not known to many people, she was just regarded as a very pretty friend of Yubin who resembles Wonder Girls youngest member Sohee.
In April 2009, Uee joined the girl group After School[1] with their single "Diva".[2]
In July, Uee was cast for MBC's historical drama, Queen Seon Duk[3] which was well received[4] and won various awards.[5] In August, Uee appeared in Mighty Mouth's music video for "Love Class" with Hyuna from 4minute,[6] following on she was casted for SBS's You're Beautiful playing Yoo He Yi.[7] Later that month, she joined project group, 4Tomorrow, releasing the song, "Dugeunduguen Tomorrow" (Korean: "두근두근 Tomorrow", "BeatBeat Tomorrow") on October 6, 2009. The project was composed of UEE (After School), Seung Yeon (Kara), Hyuna (4minute) & Gain (Brown Eyed Girls).[8] She later joined reality show, We Got Married and was paired with Park Jae Jung.[9] In early February, UEE was casted for MBC's "chivalry" drama, Birdie Buddy (Korean: 버디버디).[10][11]
Currently,[when?] she is co-hosting the show called Night After Night with Park Myung Soo, Tak Jae Hoon, Kim Jae Dong, Daesung from Big Bang, and Jung Yong Hwa from C.N.Blue.
Uee released her First Solo Album "Soksoksok" on June 21.[when?]
[edit] Personal life
Her father Kim Sung Kap is the third base Coach of South Korean baseball team, Heroes.[12] UEE is currently studying at Sungkyunkwan University.[citation needed]
