The USS McCandless (FF-1084) was a Knox class frigate of the US Navy. The McCandless was transferred to the Naval Reserve Force, redesignated FFT-1084, and served as a Reserve Training Frigate until she was decommissioned. She was propelled by one Westinghouse steam turbine with a total of 35,000 shp.
