Ueno (上野村 Ueno-mura) is a village located in Tano District, Gunma, Japan.
As of 2003, the village had an estimated population of 2,152 and a density of 11.83 persons per km². The total area is 181.86 km².
In Ueno there is a shrine, Irei-no-Sono, commemorating the Japan Airlines Flight 123 accident and containing the cremated unidentified remains of some of the victims.

- 1889 - Ueno village is created in Tano District
- 1985 - Japan Airlines Flight 123, heading from Haneda Airport to Itami Airport, crashed into an area within the Ueno Village limits.[1]
