The Cabinet of India, also known as the Union Cabinet, is the collective decision-making body of the Government of India, consists of the Prime Minister and the cabinet ministers. The Cabinet is the ultimate decision-making body of the executive within the Westminster system of government in traditional constitutional theory. The Cabinet Secretary provide assistance to the council of ministers and acts as an advisor.[1] Ministers of State assist the Cabinet ministers in their work.[2]

Cabinet Ministers[edit]

All cabinet ministers are mandated by the constitution to be members of either House of the Parliament of India.[3] There are three categories of ministers of which union cabinet minister holds the highest rank. The present cabinet consists of 23 ministers. The Cabinet ministers are listed below:[4][5]
