Georgia's 9th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Georgia. The district is currently represented by Republican Tom Graves, who won a special election in 2010 to succeed Nathan Deal, who vacated the seat in his successful gubernatorial bid. The district's boundaries have been redrawn following the 2010 census, which granted an additional congressional seat to Georgia.[2] The first election using the new district boundaries (listed below) will be the 2012 congressional elections.

The district contains a significant portion of the northeastern part of the state, and includes the cities of Gainesville, Toccoa, Elberton, Commerce, and portions of Athens.[3]
