United States elections, 1958
The 1958 United States midterm elections were held on November 4, 1958. Incumbent President of the United States Dwight D. Eisenhower and the Republican Party lost forty-eight seats to the Democratic Party in the House of Representatives. The Republicans also lost thirteen seats in the U.S. Senate to the Democrats.
