United States elections, 1968

The 1968 United States general election was held on November 5. Republican former U.S. Senator and Vice-President Richard Nixon was elected to serve as the 37th President of the United States, defeating the Democratic nominee Hubert Humphrey. The presidential election coincided with U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and gubernatorial elections in several states.[1]
