The Universidade Católica de Brasília (UCB; English: Catholic University of Brasília) is a private, non-profit, Catholic university located in Brasília, the federal capital of Brazil. It is maintained by the Catholic Archdiocese of Brasília.

In addition to normal classroom courses, the university has a distance education program. In 2003, the number of students enrolled in all distance education courses was 1,869, which rose to 3,283 in 2006, a 75% increase.[citation needed] Up to 2006, the University only offered eight undergraduate courses and seven postgraduate courses over distance-learning. In later years, the online course curriculum was expanded with the help of the International Covenants on Centres for Distance Education, or PEADs.[6]

In Pro-Rectory of Postgraduate Studies and Research, the number of enrolled students increased by 40%[when?].
