Used machine tools are second-hand industrial machines. These machines are usually bought by entrepreneurs starting up their own companies in developing and industrialising countries.
Even companies from industrialised countries buy replacement machinery so they can complete orders if one of their machines fails, also to expand production quickly for areas where it is uneconomic to use new machines.
There are a some international trade fairs for used machinery and equipment like ReSale in Karlsruhe, Germany or the Shanghai Tube Expo in Shanghai, China.
