Although I have only reached the fourth mission in both homeworld and homeworld 2, I usually wipe out my enemy's mothership in any skirmish map. I like to set no unit capping in homeworld 1, and in homeworld 2 I just can't do that, so I build lots and lots of ships when I can afford them.
