This user's favourite element is iron.
60 This user's favorite number is 60.

I am a member of WikiProject Elements, WikiProject Solar System, WikiProject Uniform Polytopes (a daughter of WikiProject Mathematics), WikiProject Classical Music, WikiProject Middle-earth (recent changes), and WikiProject Chess. All my GAs are WikiProject Elements articles, though, and my one FL is from WikiProject Solar System. I tend to move randomly between these projects, focusing mostly on one at a time. I registered on 7 August 2009. My userboxes have a lot of information already, so I'll only mention things that are not here.

Some of my subpages may contain interesting things. Aside from the "temporary work" ones, I've used one (/Number bases) to explain the userboxes I put regarding why I like base 12 and 60 more than most others, because this isn't really obvious and requires some explanation (although I haven't exactly finished it).

One of my oldest projects is alkali metal, which I started rewriting in 2011. It was the first article I worked on with the goal of eventual FA. I still haven't reached it, and don't work on it consistently anymore, but would like to someday. Also on my next return to the Elements project I will most likely finish up radium, which is very close to GA. Finally, I'd like to do iron someday. In the Solar System WikiProject, my main interest is mostly the outer Solar System, especially the ice giants (hence my FL-ing Moons of Neptune).

I wander around the polytope and classical music articles often, and find that there are usually a lot of things to do there, but I haven't really done much to get articles to high standards there yet. In the former case, there's really a lot to do before GA/FL/FA can really be thought about. I have considered working to get at least a regular polyhedron or polychoron there, though. I haven't really wandered into enough of the non-geometrical mathematics articles yet to really think of myself as a member of the Mathematics WikiProject yet, but I might at some point. As for classical music, my chief interest is for now mostly in the Classical period (extended a little, to include all of Schubert). My favourite composer is probably Mozart (although Schubert is very close – and I think Lazarus, whose lack of an article is almost a criminal offence IMHO, might even be my favourite oratorio, if you count it as one). Lately I've also developed quite a Musorgsky addiction – although I've never been quite as addicted to Rimsky-Korsakov's revisions of his works.

I play chess reasonably well (but not very well, I'd say) and have a keen interest in chess variants, especially the historical shogi variants (hence the userbox above noting that I don't actually understand Japanese). Of those, my favourites are probably chu shogi and tenjiku shogi. Finally, for the Middle-earth WikiProject: yes, I'm a Tolkien fan, and especially a Silmarillion fan. My favourite characters are the Finwëans (especially the Fëanorians, whom I probably would have followed if I were a Ñoldo of Aman – which might be a bad decision in hindsight), and my favourite parts of the legendarium are probably the Years of the Trees (from the Awakening of the Elves at Cuiviénen onwards) to the Flight of the Ñoldor, and maintaining a keen interest up till the end of the First Age. I'm also interested in the languages of Arda, and have a half-finished rewrite of the Telerin article in my userspace. (On the Quenya userbox; please note that "advanced Quenya speaker" means something very much different from "advanced English speaker"!)

I also use humorous edit summaries rather often, especially when reverting vandals (though it's not limited to that: here's an example of me totally not being a serious editor in the summary, while being perfectly serious in the comment). Oh, and one more thing: if I've stated an intention to work on an article, but haven't got to it, and you want to do it: go ahead! I'd appreciate being informed about it on my talk page, but I won't ever refuse. I may want to work on it together with you, though. (^_^)
