Hi, I'm Anthony, a Wikipedia contributor from Scotland. I'm known on Wikipedia as "AGK" (though I'm not any of these). The majority of my contributions to the encyclopedia are in copy editing, though I've also made substantive contributions to Wikipedia articles in various fields.
In addition to my mainspace contributions, I contribute as an administrator and a checkuser, and I have been elected by the community to sit on its Arbitration Committee for 2014–15 (continuing from 2012–13). In my role as an arbitrator, I have oversighter permissions and I'm a member of the Ban Appeals and Audit Subcommittees. I'm an inactive mediator and former chairman of the Mediation Committee; questions concerning the requests for mediation process should now be sent to here or here. If you need my help, wish to ask me a question, or want to know why I've did one thing or another, please get in touch on my talk page. You can contact me by e-mail if confidence is required, but I prefer to communicate on Wikipedia if possible.
The userboxes to the right summarise what I do on this project. The extra functions depicted there (such as checkuser or administrator) do not confer some sort of extra status onto me. These are just additional site functions the community have given to me to help keep the project working.
I am a member of the WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors, which exists to improve the prose of Wikipedia's articles – most commonly by reducing the backlog of articles that other editors have flagged as needing copyedited. I copyedited the very strange number of 9999 words in the March 2013 drive. In the March 2013 Copyedit of the Month, I won with my copyedit of Geopolitics. These GOCE projects are rewarding and enjoyable – please consider participating in the next one!
Administrative responsibilities take up some of my time these days, but I have contributed to some recognised content in the past. I collaborated on Royal prerogative in the United Kingdom and the Scottish Portal. I started List of FIFA World Cup finals, but that page was taken to featured articles by more esteemed and hard-working editors than I. The vast majority of my mainspace work these days is in copyediting.
Like most long-term contributors, I use shorthand in my edit summaries. r means "reply (to another editor's question or comment)". c is "posted a comment to this discussion". v is "vote (usually in a straw poll, or on a committee motion or proposal". ce is "copyedit". I try to use full edit summaries when I edit the mainspace. If the reason for my edit isn't clear, even from examining its diff, please get in touch with me and I will explain as promptly as possible. I always use full summaries when blocking another editor; please slap me with a wet trout if I ever fail to do so.
This Leaderboard Barnstar is awarded to AGK for copyediting one 5K article during the GOCE March 2013 Backlog Elimination Drive. Congratulations! Miniapolis 22:53, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Here's a pomegranate for you! Pomegranates somehow promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by giving something friendly to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Make your own message to spread WikiLove to others! Happy editing! Húsönd (April 2007)
Working Man's Barnstar
I'm awarding you this "Working" barnstar for your tireless and endless work on the more laborious or repetitive wikipedia tasks. We need more like you! Wikidudeman(talk) (August 2007)
Anthony, I just want to thank you for the way you handled the Green Kirby unblocking case. It wasn't a simple matter at all and you put a lot of effort in to being as honest, AGFy and patient as could be. Many other admins would have slammed the door shut but you didn't, and I applaud you for that. While I won't comment on your decision either way, I think you did an excellent job and gave this editor every fair chance. Alison❤ (November 2007)
