Hi! I live in San Antonio and ride VIA Metropolitan Transit. I'm a computer programmer who dabbles with Python, PHP, and Java, among others. I am a free software ideologue, sometimes called a zealot. In at least one case, I've also been called a terrorist, probably by mistake.
Disclosure: I am a sustaining member of the Free Software Foundation, Electronic Frontier Foundation, and American Civil Liberties Union - but I try not to let my biases get in the way of my editing.
I joined Wikipedia sometime in mid 2005, but I don't edit much. However, I do have experience using MediaWiki on other, less significant websites.
Sometimes I play Pokemon. I remember back when we had individual articles for each Pokemon.
I lurk on the Wikipedia Review too, and have been doing so since it was hosted on ProBoards. In general I agree with some criticisms of the website that have been stated on that forum, and disagree with others. However, I am not a:
- sockpuppet
- banned user
- vandal
- troll
- notable person.
