I am the user Akrabbim. I am an electrical engineer in Syracuse, New York, and I have been a member of Wikipedia since September 2005, pretty much as long as I have known that Wikipedia was a crowdsourced encyclopedia. Disoriented, this is the first edit I ever submitted (on my high school's IP), way back before Current events was replaced by Portal:Current events. I then registered this username, conducted a test, made my first real edit, and the rest is history (and very boring). The frequency and scope of my edits fluctuates, varying from an active user with a body of watched pages to a casual minor editor, depending on para-wiki responsibilities and interests. I also follow the ref desks for general knowledge absorption, and answer when I can.
