Alain Désilets is a researcher at the Institute for Information Technology of the National Research Council of Canada, working on various aspects of wiki.

He published the first usability study of wikis ("Are Wikis Usable?") based on work he did with children on wiki based collaborative storytelling).

He is also working on developping processes and tools for supporting the creation and maintenance of wiki content:
