Background

I have a Ph.D. in molecular biology and am currently a postdoc. I work on DNA repair and I therefore tend to edit Wikipedia articles related to this field. I'm on the member list at Wikiproject MCB. I am also a huge indie rock fan and occasionally edit and create band articles. I sometimes participate in articles for deletion, where I've become pretty familiar with the criteria for notability for bands. At AFD I generally try to keep an eye out for dubious deletion nominations for notable indie band articles, although I don't participate with any regularity.
