I have a very bad habit of not logging in before editing. I edit because I value this resource and not for recognition, so it's not a big deal except when "sweat equity" matters.

A little about me: I'm currently a postgraduate student at the University of Arizona, studying biophysics in the physics department. An attmept to be a theoretical quantum opticist was a youthful indiscretion.

I graduated in May 2003 from Paul Tulane College, Tulane University with the Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude with departmental honors in physics and mathematics. My senior thesis was on elementary applications of Lie Algebras to quantum physics. (Excepting the treatment of the hydrogen atom, it is in my opinion not very good, could have been far better had I put more time into it, but if you want to read it, perhaps for the introduction to angular momentum algebra, a copy can be found in the Howard-Tilton Library.)

Going even further back in time, I was a student at Morgan Park Academy in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in the southwest suburb called Justice. Hence I consider myself both a Chicagoan and, to an extent, a New Orleanean, but not quite a Yat. If they had second lines and Mardi Gras Indians where I'm living now, I'd be dancing in the second line behind the Indian parade, camera in hand.

Enough about personal history! My personal interests are manifold--I'm a competitive judoka, a liberal (as in libertarian), an amateur photography and musician in the amo, amas, amat sense of the word, do quite a lot of reading when I can, love the outdoors including cycling and hiking, garden, and am an on-again, off-again aquarist.

In addition to contributing to Wikipedia, I'm a volunteer editor at the Open Directory Project and on ChefMoz and a contributor to Epinions, all under the same user name. My focus on the Wikipedia seems to be quantum physics--my aims are to clear up some of the obfuscations and inaccuracies I've found here and to hone my skills as an expositor.

Contact me at either of the following addresses. (If for some reason you need to obtain my mailing address, perhaps to send bribes, e-mail me and I will gladly send it to you.)
