Hello, my name is Jason and I'm from Portland, Oregon, USA.

I was very active with Wikipedia for quite some time but it has becoming increasingly difficult for me to dedicate much time to editing. Back in the day I started many articles and made significant modifications. Today I am much more likely to make gnomish edits. In addition to the increasing number of interests competing for my time, I have also found myself starting to get really hung up on the verifiability tenet. Wikipedia is great as it is today but I am hopeful that it becomes increasingly respected as a reliable source of information. For that reason I am very reluctant to add information that isn't cited and a significant amount of my editing is focused on citing existing information rather than adding new information. This is quite a change from my attitude of 4 years ago, but a lot has changed in those 4 years.

I'm hoping that I can increase my level of involvement around here despite the fact that my time seems to be as limited as ever. Cacophony (talk) 02:14, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
