I am a retired civil servant living in the British Columbia Gulf Islands. I have created three Wikipedia articles: Porcher Island, Wales Island (British Columbia) and SS Cardena. The first two articles are listed under the Category, Islands of British Columbia. The third article is listed under the category, Steamships of Canada.

I grew up in the BC coastal fishing industry, at Wales Island Cannery near the Nass River and at Porcher Island Cannery on the Skeena River. During the 1940s, I was a frequent passenger on the SS Cardena.
