Charles Nicholas Gorichanaz, son of Michael and Sandra, was born on June 2, 1988. He lived in Sussex, Wisconsin, for several years, until his family moved to a larger house on ten acres of land in Colgate, Wisconsin. His parents divorced when he was eight, after which he lived primarily with his mother in Kewaskum, then Germantown, and finally West Bend. His father purchased a small home in Hubertus, near Gorichanaz’s school at the time.

Gorichanaz attended St. Hubert Catholic School (Hubertus, WI) from kindergarten through eighth grade. He graduated in June of 2002 as the last class of St. Hubert School, since the parish changed its name to St. Gabriel.
He then attended Hartford Union High School (Hartford, WI) from September, 2002, until his graduation on June 11, 2006. Gorichanaz placed 24th in a class of 390, with a GPA of 3.93.
Gorichanaz was accepted into the College of Letters and Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He began his undergraduate studies in September 2006 with the aspiration of attending medical school.
