Hello, I'm ComputerJA (born 1990s), a Wikipedian and news blogger based in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, a city on the U.S.-Mexico border. Most of my work on Wikipedia is concentrated on articles related to the Mexican Drug War, a topic I've studied for many years. I'm also a participant of WikiProject Mexico, a project dedicated to improve articles related to Mexico, and a recipient of the Editor of the Week award. With over 26,000 edits and 310 articles created, I'm one of Wikipedia's 5,000 most active members.
I officially registered on Wikipedia on June 19, 2011, although I did minor editing as an IP user long before joining. I grew up and went to school in Mexico for most of my life, but I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, I returned to work in Mexico. I am interested in pretty much anything related to Mexico. Though my edits on Wikipedia do not reflect this at all, I love the beautiful game, and I'm a big martial arts and fight enthusiast. Outside of Wikipedia, I am active at the forum of Borderland Beat, an English-language news blog that reports about violence in Mexico.
