Articles I've helped develop:
- Barack Obama I have so many mixed opinions about him, but he was actually --elected-- president.
- Bill Wattenburg Former Livermore National Weapons Lab scientist and KGO radio weekend late night host that has advocated the use of US troops to "go house-to-house" to remove weapons."
- Bay Area Rapid Transit - As per it's name, the Bay Area's rapid metro transit
- 2009 Fruitvale BART Police Shooting - "Tony, I thought he was going for a gun."
- B-2 Spirit The 2.13 billion dollar per plane stealth bomber that the Joint Chiefs of Staff recognized as a threat to US strategic preparedness.
- Chauncey Bailey - A respected reporter who was assassinated in Downtown Oakland for his investigative journalism.
- Critical Mass - The monthly bicycle-centered social movement coming soon to a small town near you.
- Duncan Hunter - A career congressman from San Diego area that wants to deport the children born on US soil if their parents immigrated here unlawfully.
- Forest Laboratories - A crafty big pharma firm that evades US corporate income taxes on profits from it's US sales by moving them offshore to its "Bermuda subsidiary" using a currently legal practice known as transfer pricing. The "subsidiary" reportedly consists of a tiny office with a secretary in a country with no corporate income taxes.
- Jack Abramoff - "Con man" par excellence.
- Jerry Brown - Former California Governor, two term mayor of Oakland, and current California Attorney General. This guy, and his "10k" doctrine, need no introduction.
- KPFA, a listener-supported Pacifica network radio station with a powerful transmitter signal that reaches most of Northern California.
- Lakeside Apartments District, Oakland, California - A residential neighborhood near Downtown Oakland
- Max Baucus - Current chair of our US Senate Finance Committee and gatekeeper to health care reform for our citizens. Fought for a tax on union "cadillac plans" to finance health care reform instead of the house plan to tax upper incomes.
- Nancy Nadel - A City Councilor here in the Town, who was recently re-elected to her fourth consecutive term in office in a race with two other candidates who had access to the ballot.
- North American Free Trade Agreement The de-industrializing globalization treaty brought to us by the plutocratic duopoly in Washington.
- Oakland, California - A charming west coast big city currently being rediscovered by folks with lotsa' money, and they all have their own idea of how to make it better for it's longtime residents.
- Oakland Unified School District The Chief of it's police force labeled a political march a "moving crime scene" and arrested a videojournalist with an official press pass!
- Quentin L. Kopp This former SF supe, former State Senator, and former San Mateo County Judge is a former chair of the California High Speed Rail Authority. As chair, quietly moved to de-fund California Voters' intent to bring high speed rail to Downtown San Francisco's Transbay Terminal.
- Rafael Correa the American-educated economist President of Ecuador who repudiated Ecuador's National Debt, vowing to fight creditors in International courts over "immoral debts" contracted by despotic former regimes.
- Ron Dellums A United States Marine and the first openly socialist Congressman since WWII from Northern California's progressive 9th Congressional district, and the current Mayor of Oakland, California.
- Tort reform You gotta love mandatory binding arbitration clauses buried in 4 point mice type font contracts!
- Willie Brown (politician) (born 1934), Mayor of San Francisco, 1996–2004, Speaker of the California State Assembly, 1980–1995. Once called San Francisco Critical Mass riders a bunch of "little weenies" and "sic-ed" Fred Lau and the SFPD on them.
- 3rd Infantry Division (United States Army) - It's 1st brigade has recently been quietly deployed as a standing army onto US soil for full combat duty as a part of the "Global War on Terror" (GWOT), in which the entire world is a battlefield. When the GWOT bills arrive they may just ask me to quarter one of these guys/gals in my home.
