User:DJ Ed Santiago

Ed is currently enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York in the undergraduate Management program with an expected completion date of fall 2010. i expect to continue on to the MBA graduate program at RIT upon completion of my undergraduate program.

Ed has been a resident dj at ONE Nightclub in Rochester, NY for more than one year. His style ranges from minimal, tech-house, to funky and jazzy deep house, as well as mainstream/top-40 electro-house remixes and more. He incorporates several styles into a single set, being consistently diverse and interesting; every weekend he performs as different set as possible for a a crowd ranging from dedicated house music fanatics to the casual club goer expecting to hear a song they may hear on a top 40 station. Ed mainly performs using either standard cdj’s or using Ableton Live 8 along with a UC-33e MIDI controller.

Ed's dj residency nights are: insomnia thursdays at ONE Nightclub, and saturday nights with DJ Richie Salvaggio at ONE Nightclub

Ed has been educating himself in music production since 2007. He has been working on ‘bootleg’ remixes and various mix sets, and even some originally produced work of his own. Ed produced his first original track “Seance” as well as its follow-up, “Exorcism” (not yet available) with long-time friend Dan Grashof a classically trained musician and aspiring producer as well.

Lastly, Ed has been working with another long-time friend Clayton Pacelli on The Rochester Entertainment & Music Group since late 2007. it started out as an idea, developed into a multimedia blog featuring posts of music or entertainment based events in Rochester, NY, and they expect to achieve our initial plans of developing The REM Group into a full-fledged entrepreneurship with the goal to develop the careers of local Rochester artists of all types (with a heavy focus on dj’s and producers of any genre).
