list of indian monarch[edit]

Why did you remove rajput rulers and empires plz explain and also explain how foreign rulers staying out of India can be called Indian monarch YashShah008 (talk) 18:33, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

I didn't remove the Rajput rulers: I reverted your blanking of entire sections of the article [1]. Another editor seems to have removed the Rajputs. Let's please discuss this at Talk:List of Indian monarchs. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 18:36, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Sir if you keep adding wrong facts about my country's history i will keep on editing because what you add about greeks Persians bacterians and British as Indian emperor and remove our native rajput rulers hurts my nation's pride .How would you feel if would write some wrong facts about your nation .I have done my PhD in Indian history and I know my country's history better than you so I humbly request you dont tamper with my country's history. YashShah008 (talk) 18:55, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
I'm asking you again, please, make your case at the article's talk page, not here. You're going to get blocked by an administrator for WP:Edit warring if you don't stop. Dai Pritchard (talk) 18:58, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Sir there only one common ground sir plz don't delete Indian empire like Glorious and brave Rajput dynasties who have ruled more than 1400 yrs in western India and central india . YashShah008 (talk) 19:05, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
You're not reading what I wrote above: I didn't delete anything, but you have deleted whole sections. You have also obviously not yet read WP:Edit warring: it doesn't matter that you're sure you're right. Wikipedia runs on WP:Consensus, so you must persuade other editors to accept contentious changes, not just repeatedly delete things you don't like without consensus. You must stop edit warring on that article, or you will be blocked from editing by an administrator. Dai Pritchard (talk) 20:54, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Respected sir I would like you to remove Persian dynasty because it was alexander who was first one to cross hindukush and enter india and you can see the mapped images of Persian empire on wiki pedia or Google or on any book on Persian empire it never crosses Hindu kush .They never entered indian plains so how can they have ruled Indian states. And after Alexander the Persian empire was demolished. So I think Persian should be excluded . YashShah008 (talk) 10:54, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
May I ask you once again to please discuss this at Talk:List of Indian monarchs, and not here at my talk page? Other editors will also want to discuss significant changes like this. Thank you, Dai Pritchard (talk) 11:09, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
Sir I am not on edit war but I am not tolerating proofless i wrong info on my country's history.Sir I am not telling your info is wrong its wikipedia ,Google and any history text on Persian history proves you wrong. YashShah008 (talk) 14:22, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
If you had read WP:Edit warring, you would already know that it doesn't matter if you're sure that you're right when you repeatedly revert other people's edits. Read it now, please. Dai Pritchard (talk) 14:28, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Paul Hobday[edit]

I have changed this article into a redirect to National Health Action Party. This is due to this individual failing to meet the notability requirements as outlined at WP:POLITICIAN. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 22:09, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

I can see your point, but shouldn't redirecting a whole bio go through an AFD first? Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 22:13, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
  • You can start one if you like, but it's fairly pointless. This gentleman is a doctor, apparently not notable for being a doctor, who is running for office with a party that hasn't gained mention at United Kingdom general election, 2015. It is highly doubtful he will win a seat. It is a minor party. There's nothing to sustain notability here. If in five months he somehow manages to secure a seat in the House of Commons, then obviously there's reason for the article. --Hammersoft (talk) 22:30, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
I do agree with your deletion rationale, and would support you in the AFD, but I'm thinking about process. Was there nothing in the bio worth merging? Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 22:32, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
  • I'm usually one to support following proper procedure (example; see my comments here). But I don't think it's warranted in this case. Being bold in this case reduces the need for additional bureaucracy on a point that most likely is uncontroversial. I almost placed a {{prod}} on it, but decided a redirect would be better, given his name has appeared in the press as a candidate. I've done similar to Rebecca Fox. There's really nothing to merge; the salient points on both articles are that the person is a candidate, which is noted on the National Health Action Party article. --Hammersoft (talk) 22:36, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Center on International Commercial Arbitration[edit]

Hi, I apologize for removing the edit summaries. Could you help me please fix the errors in the article? I really want to get this resolved, but am having trouble. TYN2015 (talk) 17:51, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Sure, I'll have a go. Thanks for your efforts so far. Dai Pritchard (talk) 17:54, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

thank you, any help at all would be great. TYN2015 (talk) 18:24, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

OK I've done some re-writes for the promotional tone. What's needed now is secondary sources: at the moment it's mostly referenced by links to the center itself. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 18:42, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Thank you so much for your changes! I've replaced two primary sources with secondary sources. TYN2015 (talk) 19:41, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, but LinkedIn and Facebook pages are still primary sources because their content is written by the Center. You might find it helpful to read Wikipedia:Identifying and using primary and secondary sources, and Wikipedia:External links/Perennial websites, for more information. And you're welcome to ask here again if you have any more questions. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 20:25, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Dai, I made several changes to the page including adding secondary sources and links to wikipedia pages not written by the Center. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance. Tza2015 (talk) 18:53, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi, it is still mostly referenced by primary sources. It needs some proper secondary coverage to show notability. Are there any books that talk about it in reasonable depth, trade magazine profiles, etc? Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 19:58, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for your feedback. I've included a published book reference, an online publication, Global Arbitration Review reference and a notable LLM website reference. I hope these will suffice. Sorry to keep bugging you. Best,Tza2015 (talk) 19:46, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

Serge Arolès[edit]

Hello, you move (renammed) a page nammed Serge Aroles i created to an existing one nammed Serge Arolès. You make it rigth but the name is not correct it's Serge Aroles with no accent (It's a french historian). This mispelling made me create a new page because i couldn't find the existing one and i thougth it was none. It is possible for you to rename the page Serge Arolès to Serge Aroles? Here you can see the correct spelling of this name (on the cover of the book): http://www.amazon.fr/Serge-Aroles/e/B004MK4M0S. Thank you.Boris Jaladiou (talk) 17:08, 26 January 2015 (UTC) Boris Jaladiou (talk) 17:08, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I moved it from Serge aroles to Serge Arolés, since you spelled his surname "Arolés" in your original draft [2]. But I see that an admin has now moved it to the correct spelling. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 19:14, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

January 2015[edit]

(Redacted)

Hi! Most of what you wrote about that scandalous case was taken directly from the source cited, which carries a clear copyright notice; as I'm sure you know, that is not acceptable here. Please feel free to rewrite in your own words. Perhaps you will allow me a couple of suggestions: the case should not have WP:UNDUE prominence in the article as a whole (a couple of sentences should probably be enough); and please be wary of getting drawn into an edit war – asking for semi-protection of the page might be a better approach to repeated IP reversions. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 02:15, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
No, please look again at the source: a few sentence fragments match here and there, but it was certainly not copyvio. Close paraphrasing, yes I suppose so. WP:UNDUE, maybe. But there was really no need to drop a uw-copyvio template here on my talk page. A quick look at my contribs would have shown you that I spend hours of my time removing copyvio from Wikipedia. And as for the comparison of my reverts of IP blanking to edit warring, note that most admins won't semi-protect until there's a substantial history of IP vandalism. Dai Pritchard (talk) 07:33, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

KGB (album)[edit]

If I may ask why my page is on If I may ask why my page Nightmare (KGB Album) is on Articles for deletion ?? I don't get it, something wrong with it or?? Please help me editing this page, because the new Album is coming up soon.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nightmares (Album) (talkcontribs) 15:39, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

Have a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nightmares (KGB album) if you're really wondering what's wrong with it. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 15:50, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

The funny thing is you remove my Early life, and Musical career on my page KGB (Rapper) which I don't get it. Like do you know anything about music or hip hop rappers, look please try to put my Early Life, and Musical career the way it was. Or you help me editing this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nightmares (Album) (talkcontribs) 00:20, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

I would love to help you edit the biography article, and I began by helping you edit the album article, but there's absolutely nothing about you online. When we write about a living person at Wikipedia, any remarkable or contentious claims have to be referenced by a reliable source. Anything not reliably sourced has to be deleted. That includes claims about record deals, singles in the charts, getting produced by famous artists, etc. You can read more about this at WP:BLP. When the article was proposed for deletion for being an unreferenced biography, you responded by adding lots of references that didn't back up any of the claims made. So I looked online, couldn't find any, tagged them as unreferenced, and then finally deleted them. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 05:43, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for feedback[edit]

The Fireicer (Ethical Hacker) is not an about me page.

I wrote it to resolve confusion on the Internet between my alias name and the compound/material FireIce and added a very brief explanation as to how and why FireIcer exists.

I am thinking now that maybe the title is wrong, instead of (Ethical Hacker) in brackets it should just say (Alias)

Fireicer (talk) 11:36, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

Understood, but articles on Wikipedia need to be about something or someone notable: you might like to read Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (people) for more information on this. I also don't think there's much danger of people confusing someone's online alias with a potassium-based polymer. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 11:40, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

Copyright violations[edit]

Dai - you have been taggng my new entries for speedy deletion for copyright violation. I have already been through this with the permissions people and they gave me a statement to add to my entries which you should have seen. Here it is :

UNICE (project)[edit]

I noticed you changed the name of UNICE: Universal Network of Intelligent Conscious Entities to UNICE (project). It makes sense and it's more succinct. May I suggest you change the name from UNICE (project) to UNICE (global brain project), which will also explain what kind of project it is?

Thanks, Rachelm9 (talk) 00:51, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi. It doesn't really need any further disambiguation. On Wikipedia, WP:Disambiguation is for distinguishing one topic from another. Since there are no other notable projects around called UNICE, I think this does for mow. don't you think? Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 01:20, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Giulio Cocchi Spumanti[edit]

Hi Dai, you placed an advert alert on a page I just create about a wine company. How can I make it ok? Another admin, m.o.p., already checked this page in my sandbox and told me it was ok, since I well balanced the products facts with historical facts, and added lots of references. Many thanks! Thanks for the info. I wanted to put it in the Spanish section of Wiki, but I did something wrong. I am translating it right now to English. Do you know how to easily create an article's version in another language? Thanks! PauloCalvo (talk) 17:02, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the barnstar! To copy the article to Spanish Wikipedia, you can simply edit Tlaximaltepoztli, and then copy and paste all of its contents to https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tlaximaltepoztli. Thanks! Dai Pritchard (talk) 17:05, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

Have a read of Wikipedia:Notability (people) for more information. You need to ensure that there are lots of WP:Secondary, WP:Reliable sources about the person, to show that they're notable. I couldn't find any online, but perhaps you can. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 15:37, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
@Aliakbar.faiz: I have restored the page to Draft:C. K. Thornhill to give you a chance to work on it. Please follow the instructions at the top of that page when you think the article is ready. Please note that you will need to demonstrate the subject is notable to justify an article. This is not a judgement on the person (we do not decide if someone is "not so great"), but rather a judgement on how much attention reliable sources have paid to the person. This is done because we need "proof" that something is true. You may know what you wrote is true, but we don't. If we didn't have this policy anyone could write anything about anybody - even horrible lies. See WP:your first article for straight-forward advice on writing on Wikipedia. --ThaddeusB (talk) 16:48, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks Dai[edit]

Dai, I just demoted that particular article of mine to draft. Previously, my first article seemed to me to be marked as a draft automatically, and I did not realize this new one was live. Appreciate your help, and I will round out that article next week. Please do not delete. Thanks. IntegrityPen (talk) 18:57, 6 February 2015 (UTC)IntegrityPen

Thanks for moving it. But JASBUG said that "a patch was released on Feb. 10", which is next Tueaday. I can't find a single mention of it online. Where is the bug documented? Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 19:14, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

I have removed that from the draft. No documentation at this time. I will add proper citations next week. Otherwise, delete on Feb. 11 or Feb. 12. Thanks, Dai. IntegrityPen (talk) 20:09, 6 February 2015 (UTC)IntegrityPen

Speedy Deletion for ACID Cigars By Drew Estate[edit]

Hello,

I hope that this email finds you well. I am writing to you today because I received an email from you notifying me that my article had been deleted under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Being that this is the first article I have ever written for Wikipedia, and being that I have no affiliation with any of those brands that were mentioned I wanted a little bit more information including what needed to be changed in order to keep the article. I gathered all of my information from "Perlman's Encyclopedia of Tobacco" and other cigar cites and made sure to cite them all under references for where I got all of my actual information from. In addition, I will admit that I did link ACIDNYC.com & DrewEstates.com to the external links, but I did so because I honestly thought it was relevent to the content (Since ACIDNYC is Scott Chester's site and Drew Estate being Drew Estate's site; the creators of the brand).

I will gladly remove the external links if that is the issue; or if there is a problem with my use of adjectives, I can redo that as well.

I have noted that there are several other cigar brands on Wikipedia which include: Captain Black (tobacco brand) Backwoods (cigar brand) Rocky Patel Premium Cigars

and various others. I merely would like to keep the information available much as they have.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

LCPEREZ83 — Preceding unsigned comment added by LCPEREZ83 (talkcontribs) 14:45, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi. The problem wasn't the external links, it was the over-the-top marketing language used. Try creating a draft in your user sandbox, and I'd be happy to review it for you. You might also find it helpful to read WP:Neutral point of view first. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 15:18, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Glenn Ogura page[edit]

It is correct that I have no affiliation with Mr. Ogura. I uploaded that picture and chose an incorrect permission, shortly after I put in a request for deletion. I would appreciate if we could just delete that photo so I can go through the correct channels to get permission to use that particular picture or a different one. Would I need permission from that website of Resonetics or from Glennn Ogura himself? Also in both instances what would be the appropriate permission tag? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gdesigner1 (talkcontribs) 21:53, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Got your message on my start of a history of the Congress of Gamers board gaming convention article.[edit]

I don't know enough about Wikipedia rules to know this is about. But's it's upsetting enough for me to abandon my effort. I won't waste any more time on the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:A:3980:4AFA:B1AC:DA82:45D2:4738 (talk) 23:10, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Sorry to hear it. But the article consisted of one sentence, so little effort was wasted. If you change your mind, then may I recommend that you start by making a draft in your sand box first, or use the WP:Article wizard, to avoid it being deleted again. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 23:18, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Teodora Teodorovic[edit]

Mr. Pritchard, The "Теодора Теодоровић" article was nominated for speedy deletion. I think that is wrong because she is one of our finest song and essay writers and one day will be famous for her work. She has writen over 20 novels, one book and over 15 songs at the age of 13. She really deserved this... Thnak you in advance, Uros Bojanic — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uros Bojanic (talkcontribs) 11:47, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Jack Levit Article[edit]

Dai,

I need your help and expertise in improving the Jack Levit page. As the article states, he was one of Canada's greatest businessmen.

If you can find more citations or add photos to the article that would be great.

I am very nervous it may be taken down by someone who doesn't understand its significance.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darrenhall92 (talkcontribs) 14:32, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for your message. Sorry I forgot to reply: I've had a number of messages since then, as you can see below.
You need to be very careful when writing about members of your family. No doubt you knew him better than most, but along with that firsthand knowledge you bring, there's also the problem of writing from a WP:Neutral point of view: I would certainly find it hard to write objectively about one of my own family. I'm happy to help with the referencing, and I've tried to make the descriptions in the article more neutral. I'm confident it won't get deleted though: there's lots of coverage online about him from reliable, secondary sources. So rest easy about that. Have you considered asking a friend to write about him, who is from Winnipeg and knows about Levit's work, but isn't so closely connected? Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 19:59, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Sergey Zonenko[edit]

Good afternoon. Can you restore the page Sergey Zonenko. We have removed the entire sentence that you want to have links. All information has been confirmed. More than a week you had no claim to the page. Explain what the problem is.Ogeldke (talk) 09:47, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Good afternoon. The problem was explained at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sergey Zonenko, where the consensus was that he is not notable enough for an article, based on the reliable sources available. Please don't post to that Articles For Deletion page again, since as it notes at the top of the article, AFD discussions should not be modified once they've been closed by an administrator. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 10:07, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Tag management (content management taxonomy) vs. Tag management system (marketing technology) articles[edit]

Hello Dai,

Thanks for the edit. I just followed the article title from the WP:RA section. Just getting the hang of this wikipedia business so my apologies for this newbie question....

In fact my main worry was one of disambiguation: There is an existing article on "Tag management" which deals with managing categories / tags / taxonomies in what is typically user-generated content. There was a reference to Google Tag Manager, which does not perform this role at all but belongs to the another conceptual category. I cleaned this up before writing the Tag management system article, which admittedly I could have written to the title "Tag management"

Is anything necessary on the disambiguation front?

ie. Tag management (content management taxonomy) vs. Tag management system (marketing technology)

Thanks,

Andrew Andy20150111 (talk) 15:22, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello Andrew. I agree completely. I'll put a disambiguation hatnote on both pages, and we can see if that's enough. Dai Pritchard (talk) 15:26, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

MDI Murshidabad[edit]

Dear Dai Pritchard. Thank you for pointing out the glitches. I assure you that this article was created simply to inform people and not to advertise. Certain lines may seem advertorial and are being changed. The mistake was simply caused due to my first attempt to create an article here. Your comments are duely noted on that.

If you would check a bit you would find that the institute that i speak of is searched upon by many and this article was only meant to provide them with unbiased information. thus it will be highly appreciated if you may revert your application for the articles deletion.

Peapod was founded in 1989[edit]

You are right. Peapod was founded in 1989 but did not offer an Internet shopping option until 1999. Also, Peapod was only a local service, in boston area, and NetGrocer was the first one to bring supermarket to the internet as well as the first one to offer nationwide service. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maninblack10 (talkcontribs) 00:47, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

All true, but Peapod was still the first online grocery. You might like to mention that in the "Career" section, but we can't say in the intro that NetGrocer was the first. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 00:52, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Manila Baptist Church[edit]

I can find no source for the history section. The creator of the article has done nothing else but this and is now unreachable. It has a self promotional feel to it. I'm a newbie but this looks like a strong delete to me. If I were Baptists and in Manila I'm sure this would be a great place, but the article as it is doesn't belong on Wiki imho. What's the next step to deletion and what can I do to help? Samf4u (talk) 01:13, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

I think this will need to have a prod or an AFD: it doesn't meet any criteria in WP:CSD as far as I can see. I would support deletion in an AFD, for all the reasons you give above. But you could try just prodding it. Dai Pritchard (talk) 01:17, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Sounds all well and good, but you keep posting broken links for references, and I can't find any of the news articles you post by title from Google News. You then keep removing those broken links and posting new broken links. Can you see the problem with that? Dai Pritchard (talk) 07:04, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
Ah wait a minute: yes there is an archived article with that phrase as a subheading at Google News, at [4]. OK, you're absolutley right, it's not a hoax. Sorry for the misunderstanding! I'll remove the proposed deletion tag from Three Bon Bunnies, and add this new reference. Dai Pritchard (talk) 09:23, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

I'm not trying to promote anything.I'm just writing a article like people do on other artist.I edited the article so I don't see any reason to delete my page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Milly Sheesh (talkcontribs) 11:01, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

The language you're using to write about yourself comes across as promotional: such as "started using his word's instead of the gun. When he spoke people listened and he noticed that his craft held power. To change his surroundings he left to start a rap career amongst todays heavy hitters." Wikipedia isn't the right place to write about yourself. For more information on this, please read WP:Autobiography. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 11:04, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

Labour Migration[edit]

Hello, I am putting together a thematic page on labour migration but see that you redirected it to migrant worker. Please note that migrant worker is a person and labour migration is a thematic area that the international labour organization manages and needs to provide content in a separate format other than migrant worker. Can you please unlink these two pages and allow for a labour migration page to exist as it should?

Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by AshleyLynne (talkcontribs) 14:20, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello. Labour migration is managed by more than just the ILO. We also need to avoid duplication of pages, which makes both finding information, and editing it, more difficult. What is it that you want to write about that can't go into migrant worker? Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 14:23, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Social Sharing deletion[edit]

Hey Dai, this is reg the page deletion of social sharing. I wanted to clarify that social sharing and social bookmarking two completely different concepts. Social Sharing refers to the concepts whenever any url is shared social social media networks and Social bookmarking refers to the concept in which user stores the sites they like under their account. Let me know what you think :)

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Princekapoor (talkcontribs) 04:37, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Hey hey, PK. :-) I had a careful read of the article you started, and all the examples it gave were examples of social bookmarking, plus all the references I could find online for social sharing used it as a synonym for social bookmarking. But I didn't do an exhaustive search, so maybe I missed something. Is there a project or research somewhere that uses social sharing online in a different sense? Thanks. Dai Pritchard (talk) 08:13, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Social sharing refers to the social sharing buttons available on various sites which encourage the user to share. For the sake of example have a look at http://www.loginradius.com/social-sharing and www.sharethis.com/. On the other side social bookmarking sites are the sites which are used to store the URLs to share later like https://www.google.co.in/bookmarks/ and https://delicious.com/

both are completely different subjects :)

Let me know what you think,Thanks. --Princekapoor (talk) 07:33, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, I see what you mean now. ShareThis doesn't seem to call it social sharing, although Loginradius does. If we could find a WP:RS like a tech journal, book, or other mainstream source that calls it social sharing, and spells out the difference clearly. then we probably have a winner. Let's see what we can dig up on this. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 12:39, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Camp Blood[edit]

Hey, just giving you a head's up that the article Camp Blood (2015 film) was created by some sockpuppets and is a hoax, so tagging it with a speedy was a good catch. In any case, I just wanted to let you know to keep an eye out for any newly created articles (usually film and television shows) that have Anthony Fernando as the director. If you see those, tag them as a speedy deletion as a hoax and creation by a blocked sockpuppet and if possible (I know I'm asking a lot) could you let me know so I can block them and add them to the ongoing SPI at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Aron&April654321? Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:33, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up, yes I'll definitely keep an eye out for that and ping you if I spot the next sock before you do. Dai Pritchard (talk) 15:09, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Why did you request speedy deletion of 11 London?[edit]

Hi - I tried to keep the language as neutral as possible and ensure everything was references, in most cases by third party sites. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hunter190676 (talkcontribs) 14:26, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

I didn't request deletion. I tagged it for WP:Conflict of interest, WP:Notability (organizations and companies), and WP:Primary sources. Another editor requested deletion, presumably for the same reasons. It's not easy to write neutrally about things with which we're closely connected, so best to stick to writing about other subjects on Wikipedia. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 14:31, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

Why?[edit]

In Italy the provinces of Rome, Naples , Bologna , Milan, Turin , Florence , Bari were abolished on 1 January 2015 and replaced. Metropolitan cities of Italy (look). Here are the pages for some time in Metropolitan City of Rome, Metropolitan City of Milan,Metropolitan City of Turin, Naples why should not there be?--Havesan8 (talk) 02:40, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Please propose your request for a rename at the article's talk page. If the proposed change gets consensus there, then it can be renamed properly. But please don't just blank an existing page and create a duplicate with a new name. We lose the article's edit history if you do that. Thanks, Dai Pritchard (talk) 02:45, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
because this difficulty only with Naples, and not with Milan. Rome and Turin?--Havesan8 (talk) 02:50, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Like I said, please propose it at the talk page. I have no opinion on the subject. I'm just trying to stop a mess being made. Dai Pritchard (talk) 02:55, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
sources and there are also other identical pages on other Italian cities, if you want me to stop foul whim, I explaining that this change and correct and you do not answer me, I do not tolerate bullying and teasing, we have no respect for the work deglie other and even the official sources.--Havesan8 (talk) 03:03, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
I am neither bullying you nor teasing you. I have no opinion on what the article should be named. None! But if you want to change the name, then change it properly please. Dai Pritchard (talk) 03:06, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Regarding Metropolitan City of Naples[edit]

I think the user is correct. Based upon the Italian and Spanish Wikipedia entries, as well as a couple mentions elsewhere it seems that the province system was replaced with the Metropolitan city system. This is a new thing, separate from the old province system. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the article, but the Metropolitan City is discrete from the Province, and exists. The province stopped existing on the 31 of December 2014, at which point the metropolitan city was founded. Cheers, NativeForeigner Talk 02:57, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

In short, this isn't A10. One could request a merge or PROD it or AfD it, but it doesn't meet CSD A10. NativeForeigner Talk 02:59, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Like I've said twice above, propose the move at the article's talk page. If you gwt consensus for a move, great. But a copy and paste fork of the article will create a mess. The original article should be moved, or left as it is. Not copied and pasted. Dai Pritchard (talk) 03:01, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
these are trivial excuses, you just want to annoy--Havesan8 (talk) 03:06, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Oh for heaven's sake. Please read WP:Moving a page, and maybe you'll understand what I'm trying to tell you. Dai Pritchard (talk)`
In this case, the copy paste actually does somewhat confuse matters. I've created a very minimal stub article on the Metropolitan City. Hopefully that can be expanded upon. NativeForeigner Talk 03:19, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Fine, thanks. Dai Pritchard (talk) 03:21, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Sorry about that, I stupidly assumed it would be different content, and I spent a fair bit researching the Metropolitan City change, (ignoring the copy paste). At least we achieved a positive resolution. NativeForeigner Talk 03:22, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Not updated in over a week-hopefully it will get updated again, oh and thanks for finding some refs at least though! Wgolf (talk) 05:05, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Anytime! Yeah I did wonder why so few in that category lately. De-prodding some of them is often annoyingly easy.
