Who I Am[edit]

I am 32 years old, office monkey from Preston in Lancashire. Writer of reviews and articles and football reports.

Wikipedia and I[edit]

I have become more confident in using Wiki, and have been creating pages, amending articles and the like since August2004. I embarked on bringing the {{UKrailwaystations}} category as up to date as I can, but my general interests have also meant I have been amending national flags, band articles and Olympic information.

Whilst I don't think I can count the number of UK railway station articles created back when almost every line was missing, I worked on almost all northern branch lines to at least an acceptable stub level. Although this part of Wikipedia is not at the forefront of my attention, I continue to monitor them for updates and tinkering.

My proudest moment is getting Sark general election, 2008 created and then put on the In The News (and the front page!) . Since then, I appear to have become part of the fixtures and fittings of the In The News section and its connected purposes.

I'm an unsuccessful ArbCom and Admin nominee.

I nominated myself for a role on the Arbitration panel for 2006, but had no confidence at all in success. This seems to be one of the reasons why the Support/Object ratio was something like 8:94 =) You win some...and you lose big time on the whole!

The biggest project I attempted is now a confirmed point of reference - Constituencies in the next United Kingdom general election. It has been a pleasure and a pain but it continues. Having created many of the new constituency articles for the House of Commons, I have endeavoured to do the same for the Scottish Parliament election, 2011. I spend much of my time on political and constituency articles - the Bradford West by-election, 2012 is the most recent grabber of my attention.

In total, I have created a whole host of articles, from Geroa Bai to Money Reform Party, from Moffat Toffee to Boundary change recommendations for the next UK general election. My watchlist proves that my editing can touch everything from capital cities to national flags, political parties to armed conflicts. With help from User:Davewild I managed to create my own template, not bad for 5 years work!

My love of trivia has found a home here, but some of the more technical elements - such as templates and tables - are leaving me a bit confused. I still live in hope I can get help in this regard.

Conflicts Of Interest[edit]

Whether or not there was a policy on conflict of interest I know not, maybe someone can find one for me?, but just to play safe, I remain a card-carrying member of the Liberal Democrats. For the avoidance of doubt, I do not represent the alternative medicine industry. In so many countless ways, I'm a Pisces.
