Conan and the Death Lord of Thanza is set in the Thanza mountains between Aquilonia and Nemedia. After Conan's adventure in the "Star of Khorala," he finds himself wanted by the crown of Ophir [1]. Little do Conan and the Rangers know that they are adventuring directly into home of the Soul of Thanza, a gem that has the powers to create a Death Lord with the powers to destroy humanity.

The Rangers join forces with a group of bandits led by the charming and deadly Lysinka of Mertyos. The combined group soon finds themselves battling forces both human and magical as they try preventing Baron Grolin from ascending to the position of Death Lord. Allied with the Slayers of Death, skeletal warriors whose mission it is to defeat the Death Lord, Conan, Lysinka, and the rest defeat the transmuted Lord Grolin.
