Kazusa Uemura dies after being hit by a car and becomes a ghost. She is taught by a deceased man named Kyuuji Sakai about the basics of being a spirit. As Kazusa watches her family and friends, she begins to haunt Ranko Okabe, who is the object of affection for her crush. Kazusa discovers her mother's grief is killing her and attempts to have Ranko relay a message to her.
