Dcw2003 (talk) 14:43, 22 May 2015 (UTC) Since you seem to know a bit about copyright status, perhaps you would be so kind as to direct me to someone skilled in checking copyright status of photos from around 1925. And by the way, I have checked the copyright status of Solly Seeman in the photo I used. Perhaps you could direct me to someone with more skills with checking photo copyright statuses from boxers or sports stars taken around 1925. I am working very hard in this area, and would appreciate help. Since you seem to like working in this area, perhaps you could be of some service in locating a user with actual skills in this area, if you do not personally possess them.
Thank you for your help. I am fairly certain the use of the Solly Seeman photo will not violate copyright law for two reasons; All pictures taken prior to 1923 are public domain by definition. Secondly, I have spoken with a wiki user skilled in this area who assured me that nearly all photos taken in 1925 have their copyrights expire in 28 years and are rarely renewed. Perhaps you would be interested in helping me verify this in some way. You should again note that a 1925 photo is only two years from public domain by definition. The photo I used was also small, grainy, used only once, and cropped, reducing its liklihood of copyright violation, assuming there still is one.
Thank-you for your help
