[edit] User information
My given name is Eivind Gustav Hoel, and I was born in Bergen, Norway on the 3rd of January 1964. I got to know Wikipedia in the Autumn 2006, and have been an active user and contributor since then. My major projects are the English, and the two Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk) Wikis, and briefly I visit the Swedish, Danish and German ones.
[edit] My views on Languages
I am a proud defender of the two Norwegian languages, although I personally only use Bokmål for my daily life, I hope Nynorsk will sustain in it's core areas. It is still not reasonable that all Norwegians should learn both! Unfortunately, my native tongue has a limited usage outside Scandinavia, so that knowledge of additional languages is very practical - in my case English and to a limited extent German.
[edit] Education
I have a Master of Science degree in Metallurgy and a college degree in IT.
